How to run yLend2 on Linux using Wine and Dotnet 4.8

I'm going to use Ubuntu in this example. You will have to adapt it if using another distro.

All of these commands are pasted into a terminal window

Installation

sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386

sudo apt update

sudo apt install wine64 wine32 winetricks

export WINEARCH=win32

export WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-dotnet48

winecfg

winetricks -q dotnet48

optional but recommended:

winetricks allfonts

Running the program

Once all of that is done, you can download a zip file containing yLend2 from my site and unpack it into a new empty folder.

Change your location to that folder, and enter the following to run yLend2:

wine yLend2.exe
